HMIS Data Standards HUD Updates for 2016

The 2016 changes to HUD's HMIS Data Standards are significant and will impact all clients in your projects as of October 1, 2016.  Changes included a new choice for Gender, other minor updates, a reconfiguration of the way users collect and enter chronic homeless and client location questions critical to the work of homeless services and a new Homeless Prevention Prioritization tool for SSVF.  Please see the documents below.

2016 Housing Inventory Count and Point in Time (HIC & PIT) Survey

HUD requires us to conduct a Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and a Point-in-Time (PIT) Count of sheltered homeless persons in Suburban Cook County on a specified date during the last ten days of January.
