Volunteer for the Unsheltered Homeless Count
Every other January the Alliance conducts an un-sheltered homeless count where teams of people seek out people who are homeless across suburban Cook County. Working closely with local Police, hospitals and other partners, volunteers are able to safely count people sleeping in places not meant for human habitation and offer them referrals and care packages and gift cards to help secure shelter or other needed help. The next count is in January of 2015. Check our Homeless Count page for further information.
